It's been a busy year for the New Zealand emergency community with storms, floods, landslips and earthquakes. The 8th Annual Emergency Management Conference is focused on the challenges and key issues the New Zealand emergency community has been facing covering: Interoperation & Cooperation (Human Factors, Technology,Infrastructure Restoration & Resilience, Emergency Exercises, Community Engagement), Preparedness & Resilience.

  • Recognise leadership skills and styles and how they affect emergency professionals
  • Understand and develop an integrated approach to organisation resilience
  • Discuss experiences and challenges of the field with your peers from NZ, Australia and China
  • Enable faster emergency response through GIS data, tools and applications
  • Examine how communication and cooperation can be stimulated and maintained between agencies
